> For the complete documentation index, see [llms.txt](https://storypress.gitbook.io/storypress-docs/llms.txt). Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://storypress.gitbook.io/storypress-docs/content-blocks/subscribe.md).

# Subscribe

The **Subscribe** block adds a **newsletter signup form** to your page. Submissions are typically sent to an email or marketing service (e.g. Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Brevo) that you or your admin have connected.

***

## What you can do

* Add a **heading** and optional **background** for the signup section.
* Configure the **form** (e.g. email field, button label).
* Connect to your **newsletter provider** (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Brevo, or other supported integrations). Configuration is often done at the site or theme level rather than per block.

***

## Options

Common options include:

* **Heading** — Short line above the form (e.g. "Stay in the loop").
* **Button label** — e.g. "Subscribe" or "Sign up".
* **Provider / list** — Which service and which list to use (when configurable in the block).

Exact fields depend on your StoryPress and integration setup. If you don't see provider options in the block, they may be set in site or theme settings.

***

## Tips

* Use a clear, benefit-focused heading to encourage signups.
* Ensure the connected provider and list are correct so signups go to the right place.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://storypress.gitbook.io/storypress-docs/content-blocks/subscribe.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
